Color inside the lines!
It's time for the fun stuff with this Mothers Day card: The coloring! Here is attempt #1. (Click the images for larger versions.) Tomorrow I get to do this again and again. I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but colored pencil is my old unruly friend. (It's a harsh, unforgiving medium - but I love it anyway!)

And I fail to see any serious problems with this first version! (Although, for some reason, Sky's face seems a bit bluish, or grayish, on the front page.)
I just noticed on the inside page it looks like Sky's bottom lip is curling into her mouth; I presume it's actually supposed to be her tongue, and that the actual outline of her mouth was not actually finished. It does look like there's a bead of drool coming from the side of her mouth, as well, though that does look intentional.
